Seasons restaurant pop-up

Seasons restaurant pop-up

info

Seasons is a pop-up project located amidst glass apartment buildings in the heart of Yekaterinburg. Its main idea is to create an atmosphere of a quiet out-of-town vacation, tranquillity and unity with nature.

The task ahead of us was not easy, as the construction site was a waken landscape surrounded by bitumen and stone-block pavement.

The inspiration came from Saint-Petersburg, where gardens and parks that make you forget about the surrounding metropolis are located amidst the town streets and avenues.

We wanted to bring a fraction of such a unique aesthetic to Yekaterinburg. One of the aesthetic’s outstanding features is crushed brick covering the pavements, which prompted us to use this material in our project. Thus, aside from wooden decks, part of the territory is covered with crushed brick. For the gabions, its more significant fraction was used.

Then a floaty canopy with white fluttering cloths appeared, referring to the low Saint-Petersburg sky, which makes you feel like you could reach it with your hand. Directly below it, taking the central place of the composition, is an oval bar made of concrete blocks and a pool that creates a play of reflections, which is the personification of the integral symbol of the northern capital – water. Here, near a decorative reservoir, you can sit in soft armchairs and watch the movement of the fire.

And, of course, landscaping was an essential addition. Trees and shrubs appeared on the territory, perfectly matched by landscape designers.

All elements together represent a harmonious unity of natural elements – air, water, earth and fire, which creates a full-fledged feeling of immersion in a country atmosphere, perfectly complementing the original European cuisine.
